Canada Snaps Week 1

As you may know I recently went to Canada for two weeks with my boyfriend Joe. I was adventuring around by myself for the first week as Joe was working at a conference called SIGGRAPH. And so, here are some of my snaps that I wanted to share.
My daily routine varied, some days I would go out and explore the majority of Vancouver, the likes of Gastown, Chinatown, Stanley park, and Seawall, as well as checking out quirky cafes and coffee shops that had high ratings on TripAdvisor. And other days I would either chill at the hotel or do some cheeky shopping! Hashtag, feeling spendy.

Anyways, hope you enjoyed looking at my snaps! I will be posting week two's snaps very soon. Which include road tripping to Banff, beautiful lakes and glorious foods! Until then, have a great Wednesday.

Canada Vlog Part 3

The other day I uploaded part three of my Canada Vlog series. This has to be one of my favourites so far. I really enjoyed editing it and I just remember having a really fun jam-packed day.

To start off the vlog, I had a lovely little breakfast with Joe at Belcafe - the mocha I had was incredible, possibly one of the best mocha's I've had, it was so creamy, nutty and all kinds of deliciousness. To go alongside my heavenly drink, I had a sweet pastry, which was also very nice.

Afterwards, I headed to the Vancouver Art Gallery to check out Douglas Coupland's exhibition. It was full of colour and different to what I was expecting - in a good way though.  Coupland has a very interesting take on the early 21st Century and I very much enjoyed his 'Slogans for the Early Twenty-First Century'. It made me chuckle knowing that everything he stated was so true, yet we are blinded by it all because we are addicted to the internet.

After the exhibition, I took the sea bus and headed to North Vancouver. I got the opportunity to venture round Lynn Canyon Park, walk across the suspension bridge and experience my first 'hike'. To be honest, it was really refreshing to see some greenery and actually feel like I'm in Canada, rather then being in a city!

After trekking around for a few hours, I decided to head back as I had a bunch of other things I needed to get before Joe was due to get back from his conference.
When Joe returned, he showed off his snazzy walking tea-pot, which was actually designed by Pixar's RENDERMAN! So friggin' cool.

Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed part three. And stay tuned for part four, which should be up tomorrow!

Canada Vlog Part 2

Yesterday I uploaded part two of my Canada Vlog series. This one is a little short compared to the rest, however it does include some scrumptious clips of food.

I started off the day by going to Breka Bakery & Cafe, it had really good reviews on TripAdvisor so I wanted to check it out, and I'm so glad I did! The food was delicious - I had a croissant with ham and egg, and a gherkin on the side! And a cheeky cuppa to go alongside.

I then did quite a lot of damage on my credit card in Sephora, whoops.

I was getting a little bit peckish again, so I headed off towards Gastown to eat in a quirky little cafe called Finch's tea and coffee house. I ate a pear, blue brie, prosciutto and roasted walnut baguette - oh my, words cannot describe how good that was! After my yummy lunch I headed back to the hotel to chill and wait for Joe to return from his conference.

When Joe returned, we decided that we were craving pizza, and so, we found a place called Pizzeria Farina, a tiny little restaurant hidden away in Chinatown. Honestly, one of the best pizza's I've ever had in my life! On par with the pizza I shared with Joe in New York last year.

Any who, the vlog ended very abruptly after suffering with a food baby and sleepiness!

I do apologise for not vlogging the entire day, but I am new at this whole thing, so hope you can forgive me.

Anyway, hope you guys are enjoying my Canada Vlog series, and be sure to stay tuned for part 3 which should be up on Sunday, around 11am.
