December Monthly Favourites, 2014

It's that time of the month where I talk through beauty products and other things I've been loving through-out the month.  Hope you guys enjoy this video and I shall be back later on in the week with my 'Best of Beauty, 2014' video. So check back on Saturday for that.

Anyway, hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas and got everything they wanted! Can't believe 2014 is almost over... Possibly the quickest year to date.

And I just thought I'd share my new year's resolutions with you all.
One of my new year's resolution's is to get more of a stable income. Considering I am now 25 (scary), and I honestly feel like I'm wasting away my creative potential. So, I need to be solidly focused on trying to make this happen! Because, being creative for a living is my dream!
It would also be nice to be finically better so I can spend more time doing my illustrations, writing on this blog and editing videos for my Youtube channel, as well as buying a few cheeky bits here and there, instead of whacking it on my credit card and feeling mega guilty afterwards...

Another new year's resolution is to make a decision with Joe, in terms of what we want next. There has been talk for a good while now of actually 'owning a property', but we haven't made a final decision of where in the country that shall be. So, depending on what happens with jobs and Joe's hip surgery, this will be something to focus on later on in the year.

Any who, this is my last official blog post of 2014. Have a great one and see you in the New Year!

Shoes in Spotlight | New Look Party Heels

Let me start off by saying, I'm not really a heel kind of girl. But for special occasions I like to wear a pretty dress and some nice heels.

Normally, I'm a BIG fan of Kurt Geiger, and the few pairs I have, have lasted me pretty well. In fact, I bought a pair when I started university, which was almost 7 years ago now, pretty cray. But they are still in excellent condition!

Anyway, I decided to go for a cheaper alternative as I felt like it was about time I bought some new ones. And, I don't actually own a pair of nude heels so when I saw these in New Look, it was love at first sight!

They are a gorgeous pair of suede peeptoe strappy heels. The heel is a block shape which gives you that extra support when walking, basically, you don't feel like you're going to wobble everywhere. And the detail is absolutely stunning - embellished with a variety of beads to add that bit of glamour and sparkle to your outfit!

I wore these to my work Christmas party and to Joe's work's do. And they are so comfortable! Also, I thought it would be worth mentioning that I sized up. I'm normally a five (38) slash five and a half (38.5) and I went for the 6 (39) in the end.

Unfortunately I could no longer find them online, however I found the cream version, and they are now in the sale!

Borough Market, MAC shopping & Wedding Inspiration with Nicol VLOG

Last weekend I met up with my best friend from uni, Nicol. We used to live together in South London about 4-5 years ago, (insane to think it was actually that long ago!) and she now lives in Germany designing and making shoes for Stella McCartney/Adidas! And, I'm so proud of her! She's done so well.

Anyway, we wondered around Borough Market, spent far too much money in MAC and took down note/ideas for Nicol's upcoming wedding.
Hope you enjoy this little vlog and hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. And, I shall be back with some upcoming beauty/fashion videos very soon!

Winter Wonderland VLOG, December 2014

Not last weekend just gone, but the weekend before, me and Joe headed out to go see Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. We go every single year, so I suppose it's sort of a tradition for us!
We enjoyed lots of Christmasy foods and lots of Christmasy drinks. It was all super lovely.

Any who, hope you guys enjoyed this little vlog and hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas!

First Christmas in our new home!

Happy Christmas Eve everybody! Only one more sleep to go...

Today I thought I'd share some christmasy pictures with you guys. We've had our tree up since the end of November and we've been adding new bits and pieces every couple of days as we have started from scratch - new tree, new baubles, new stockings, new everything!

This is our very first christmas in our new home so I wanted it to be extra special!

If you're interested where we got our christmassy bits from, I've listed everything down below.
The tree is from ASDA, it was around the thirty pound mark. And the baubles are from various stores. Snowmen baubles are from ASDA, glass baubles and white house are from John Lewis, glittery snowflakes are from BHS, plain baubles are from IKEA, and the stockings are both from John Lewis. Also, the wrapping papers are either from Primark or Paperchase.

A Beauty Haul | Feel Unique, Boots & More!

The one where I talk through bits and bobs that I got during the black friday sales. Also, apologies that the lighting is a bit weird in some parts, I used natural lighting and it can be a right pain in the bum sometimes! The day when I get studio lighting will be the day when I'll be a very happy bean.

Anyway, give this video a thumbs up if you liked it and subscribe to my channel if you want to see more beauty, fashion and weekly vlogs with my partner in crime Joey!

TKMAXX Goodies | DW Home, Philosophy & NEOM

Hello, sorry that I haven't blogged in a while, and this post has actually been well over-due! I actually picked up these items at the end of November, but life has been super busy. I've been working near enough 40 hours a week, and having my weekends jam packed with events and what not, leaves no time for the blog. So, yes, sorry about that! I'm sure you can all understand what it's like when you work full-time.
But I'm up early on a Saturday morning trying to be super productive before I need to head on out to London for Joe's work do later this evening.

Anyway, enough rambling and on to the TKMAXX goodies! I picked up this heavenly scented candle by DW Home a little while a go, it's one of their 'KIND + WINE' candles, it's mandarin champagne flavoured and it was around the £7 mark, which is an absolute bargain. Also, what's really cool about these candles, is that the glass is repurposed out of wine bottles!

I also featured this little baby in my November Favourites, so be sure to check that out on my YouTube channel.

I then stumbled across three Philosophy items, eggnog, homemade pumpkin pie and snow angel. This is a brand I've ALWAYS wanted to try and prices varied from £7.99-£9.99 in TKMAXX, when they are originally £14 on Philosophy's website, so I thought that was pretty good right?
What's great about these is that you can use them as a shampoo, shower gel and bubble bath. And they all smell amazing! I've been using them non-stop this month!

And last but not least is a little gem that I found. NEOM's Restore:Inspire jasmine, ginger and sandalwood organic bath oil. Again, NEOM is a brand that I've always wanted to try but it's always been something I simply can't afford. However, this was priced up at £12.99 reduced from £32, so obviously I just had to have it!
This would be a cute gift for someone if they are into their baths and need something that's going to help them relax, and soothe away stress and fatigue.

And that's everything I bought! Hope everyone has a nice weekend and only five sleeps till Christmas, exciting!

The Boyfriend Tag!

Hello all. Hope everyone is all gravy and enjoying a good old Sunday roast!

Today my 'The Boyfriend Tag' went live on YouTube. In this video me and Joe answered a series of questions so you guys can get to know us a bit better. The video is extremely long, but what can I say... we like talking! So, kudos so anyone that watches the entire vid!

Hope you all like this video, it's possibly my favourite one I've done so far! Although, I say that about every new video, haha. I'll be back next week with a 'Beauty Haul', so until then, have a great week! Psssh and only, 11 days till Christmas!!!

A Primark Haul

I'm currently sitting by my desk with a hot chocolate and of course squirty cream on top, and I'm about to attempt a few blog posts whilst suffering with the plague. Just kidding, I've only got the flu, no biggie.

Any who, here is my very first Primark haul, hooray! I've been aching to do one of these and finally got round to it!

Also, I'm very happy with the editing, I'm slowly getting the hang of this video editing thing. And, the background music is SO annoyingly catchy, I've had it stuck in my head for days now...

Hope you all enjoy it and hope everyone is having a great week so far!

Work's Christmas Party!

On Sunday, I went to my work's christmas party which was held in London at Strawberry Moons this year. The big bosses hired out the whole nightclub for us all which was rather lovely, and we had a few free cheeky drinks (G&T/Wine - mixing drinks, naughty), also a bit of fried chicken fell into my belly. Luxurious.

I had such a good time! It's very rare that I get the opportunity to get dolled up and get drunk these days, so I'm really glad I went. Although, I had work at ten the following morning, and that was a bit of a killer, I felt like my ankles and insides were broken, but I powered through, well... I slothed around for 9 hours.

Any who, here are some photo's from the photo-booth! It's a shame we didn't get ones with the whole group, but I absolutely love these none the less.

Time for another Weekly Vlog!

Apologies that it's quite long, I just wanted to include most of the day as Saturday's vlog was quite short!
As always hope you guys enjoyed seeing what we got up to and hope everyone has a great week!

Shoutout to the BEST dressing gown on the planet!

How bloody cute is this dressing gown?! I got it for my birthday and I recently featured it in my November Favourites video. I just can't stop raving about it! It's the cosiest dressing gown EVER! Made with super soft materials, textured on the outside with extra thick fluffy lining, and of course a hood with teddy bear ear detail.

As soon as I arrive home from work, it's immediately on my body keeping me snuggly and warm and putting a huge smile on my face. It's a bear dressing gown!! What more could you want in life?

Anyway, if you're interested in where it's from... It's from TOPSHOP, titled 'Teddy Robe'. It comes in two other colours, all white or mint green and white and it's priced at £32 which is fairly reasonable considering the quality of it.

Now, er, If you don't mind me, I'll be hibernating during the next few weeks wearing this... I'll see you when I see you.

London Day Out Vlog | Winter Festival & Covent G

Have you seen my latest weekly vlog, vleek? (Whatever you want to call it!)

I wanted to vlog this weekend in particular because we had a little visitor stay with us. We rarely have friends and family over these days. I guess we forget that we have our very own place now and that we have the freedom to invite who-ever we want over... As well as our forgetfulness, it's very rare when we do have people over, because we're always busy doing something or another.

Anyway, we had planned this weekend for months (literally), for Emily (Joe's sister) to stay for the weekend. And, this vlog gives you a little insight to what we got up to on the Saturday. A bit of South Bank's Winter Festival, Covent G and Hamleys happened.
If you're interested to see what we got up to on the Sunday, then that vlog will be up this Sunday!
