Canada Vlog Part 7

Yesterday the final part of our Canadian Vlog went live. The vlog is very chilled compared to the rest of the vlogs. This one mainly involves driving back to Vancouver and what we get up to along the way. I also vlogged our stay in Richmond, which is just South of Vancouver. Oh, and amazing Asian food in this area guys!

Anyway, I hope you guys have enjoyed my first ever vlog series. I had so much fun filming the entire thing, editing it and seeing it all come together. I hope to continue vlogging when I go on adventures around the world, and I may do some vlogs around London if we've got a particular exciting weekend going on.
I actually vlogged last weekend where me and Joe headed into London, but you'll have to wait till Sunday to see it!

Also, what do you guys think of me starting another YouTube channel? Where I create videos based around beauty and fashion? Let me know in the comments if you would be interested at all. I might just go ahead and do them anyway. Just need to get a good quality camera first, maybe I'll get one for my birthday - the big two five (25). We shall see.

Recent buys

Earlier on in the month I purchased a few little things as I had a bit of money left over from my Canada travels.

I picked up these adorable fox socks in Primark, I can't remember how much they were exactly, but I'm going to say around the two pound mark.

I've also been on the hunt for some nice candles for our living room and bedroom and I found these gorgeous three wick candles in Sainsburys, they were £6 each in the sale, which was a total bargain. And they smell divine. I've been burning the Orchid & Sweet Coconut almost every-day since I got it.

And last but not least, I treated myself to a Banana necklace - Tatty Devine, it was £65 but I just had to have it. The Banana necklace is part of their 15th birthday collection, take a peek if you're into fun, quirky jewellery as they have some amazing pieces. I also want Cuckcoo Clock brooch and Watermelon necklace but my credit card says no.

Acrylic Makeup Storage

I've seen a lot of beauty bloggers with these acrylic makeup storage holders on YouTube and on their blogs. And I really like them. They are simple, hold all of your favourite beauty products in one place and it keeps everything nice and tidy.

Anyway, I caved and bought one. I got mine from Amazon, for £7.99. But I know you can get them on eBay for a lot cheaper.

As this doesn't hold all of my makeup, I'm thinking of purchasing another one. Possibly one that holds my gigantic stash of lipsticks! I like the look of this one. So when payday comes, I think I may have to treat myself.

Canada Vlog Part 6

If you haven't seen already, my Canada Vlog Part 6 went live yesterday. I think me and Joe have really let ourselves go in this one. I blame the lack of water in my system.

Anyway, aside from being a tad on the crazy side in this video, we had a lovely relaxing(ish) day in Banff.
First stop was at the Hot Springs, which is an outdoor pool that is steaming hot. I forgot my swimwear so I rented one of the 1920's styled swimsuits, man I looked cool. And, thankfully no pictures were taken. After bathing our skin, we then went out for lunch at this cute little coffee bar called Evelyn's, they were playing Dallas Green in the background. My kind of heaven.

After lunch we drove to Lake Minniewanka, wandered around for a little bit, and then we went on a boat tour! On the way back, we spotted some wildlife which was lovely.

And that's that! Hope you enjoyed part 6, sorry for being a little crazy, but that's just who I am.

Mini Ikea haul

Today I thought I would do something a little different. An IKEA haul, a mini one at that!

As some may know I moved in with my partner Joe early this year and we've been obsessed with IKEA's home-ware. We have been buying bits and bobs as we go along, we've got the main items, but it's not fully complete just yet.
Anyway, last week we popped into our local branch on the busiest Sunday ever and walked away with a few items. We were actually planning on getting a desk for our living room, but they didn't have the legs we wanted, so we will be returning at a later date.

Anyway, the first item I picked up were these cute little cactus' (cactaceae), they come as a set of three and you can chose your preferred colour of plant pot. I went for the white set as I'm not really into bright colours. So white all the way. They were only £4.50 too, bargain!

And then we move on to the plant pot holder - £1.90 and blueberry jam - £2.15. I've already got one of these plant pot holders which I actually use as a makeup brush holder, so, I decided to get another one.

I also decided to take some Swedish blueberry jam home with me, I've never tried it before but I love blueberries and I've heard nothing but great things about Swedish foods.

And then I finally got my hands on the PS 2014 Mirror - £15! I've been wanting this for ages and ages and now it's mine. Unlike other ordinary mirrors, what's great about this, is that it has little knobs poking out, which you can use for your jewellery and accessories. I'm going to put my Tatty Devine stash on there, can't wait!

And last up we have a Hemnes bedside table in white stain - £40 to match the rest of our bedroom furniture. Apologies that you can't see the whole thing but if you click the link above you can see it in full swing!

And that's everything we purchased. We shall be returning to IKEA later on in the year to get a brand spanking new desk and some other bits and bobs. So I will most possibly blog about those things when the time comes.

Canada Vlog Part 5

Exciting news, Canada Vlog Part 5 went up yesterday evening! I really didn't think I was going to get the chance to edit and upload it for it to go up on Sunday but I pulled through and managed to get it done!
The reason why I didn't think I had enough time to edit it, was due to life being incredibly busy at the moment, with work - Monday to Friday, and then a full on day out in London on the Saturday. Which I did vlog - my first UK vlog, hooray. It will all be revealed later on in the month... But anyway, back to my Canadian vlog.

In this part, we continued our road trip - Kelowna to Banff, a painful six hour drive and a lot of junk food consumed along the way.

We arrived in Banff, and stayed at a lovely hotel called The Banff Boutique Inn - a cutesy wooden apartment. We were fortunate enough to be right in the centre of Banff, surrounded by many interesting restaurants, candy stores and gift shops.

The following day we drove an hour to check out the near by lakes: Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. This was mine and Joe's favourite day of the whole trip. Everything was so tranquil, beautiful and the views were breathtaking.

Any who, I need to get on with the daily house chores and what not. Life kind of sucks when you're an adult and have responsibilities. But, I hope you enjoyed part 5 guys!
The next one may be up on Wednesday depending if I get enough time. If it's not up on Wednesday, it will definitely be up on Sunday.

Sunday Morning & Essie Button

To me Sundays are all about being lazy, staying in your pjs all day and having a fry up to celebrate the end of a hard working week. And so today I wanted to do something a little bit different as all I have been talking about is my Canada adventures and probably boring you all to death.

Anyway, today I wanted to take a few snaps of what me and Joe usually do first thing when we wake up on Sundays.

I'm catching up on my daily dosage of Youtube whilst getting ready and Joe is cooking up a delicious breakfast.

I'm currently watching Essie Button, the beauty guru. I've been watching her channel for about two years now and her personality and beauty recommendations are why I love her.

Another reason to why I like Essie is that I feel that we have a lot of similar interests. We both studied Illustration at university, we both obsess of beauty and makeup (although I haven't blogged about my obsession just yet) and I feel that we lead very similar lives, in terms of where we live, where we like to travel and what we do day-to-day. Although I know a lot of other girls probably have those common interests too.

Also, in a non creepy way I feel that she would be the type of friend I would have in real life. She kind of reminds me of one I have already which is really weird!

Anyway, I was watching Estée's Autumn Get Ready With Me this morning and I noticed that she is doing a give-away. She often does give-aways, but I've only ever entered once before - for the Soap & Glory one. I was up against hundreds of thousands of people, but yeah, I didn't win sadly.

But I thought I'd give this giveaway a go as I absolutely love everything Estée mentioned in her latest video, she is giving away an Urban Decay Naked Palette which I could die for, alongside a Clinique Chubby Stick, Stilla Lip Stain and Soap & Glory Thick & Fast Mascara! Yes, please!

If you're also interested in the competition, there are two ways you could enter. All you have to do is Follow Essie on Twitter, and tweet the link to this video http://youtu.be/RdyxAuSYwe8), a photo of the video on your screen and use #AutumnEssie. The other way of entering is to follow Essie on Instagram (@EssieButton) and tag a photo of yourself watching her video and use #AutumnEssie.

So, good luck everyone! Who-ever wins is going to be one lucky lady!

Canada Vlog Part 4

If you haven't seen already, I uploaded part four of my Canada Vlog series on YouTube last week.

Joe had officially finished his work trip (SIGGRAPH), which meant we had to move hotels. We stayed at The Best Western in North Vancouver. Whilst staying in this area we went to Grouse Mountain and did mountain zip-lining! It was so foggy that we could barely see anything, but what an experience it was!

The following morning, we begun our road trip! Vancouver to Kelowna, which was a four and a half hour drive. To us, this was an obscene amount of driving compared to what we normally do in the UK. But we did it and it wasn't as scary as we thought!

We arrived safe and sound in Kelowna and stayed at this beautiful bed and breakfast called Yellow Rose. Lynda and Paul our hosts were fab, they made us feel very welcome and they made us a gorgeous two-course breakfast the following morning.

Anyway, hope you enjoyed part 4 of my Candian Vlog series. I'm really enjoying the editing process and sharing what I got up with my friends, family and the internet world.

Oh, and just to let you guys know that Part 5 has just gone up today and I will blog about it tomorrow evening when I get home from work. Until then, bye guys.

Canada Snaps Week 2

Before I begin editing part five of my vlog series, I wanted to share these snaps with you guys.

I took these during mine and Joe's second week in Canada, where we travelled from Vancouver to Banff by car. It was a super long drive (about 11 hours), so we ended up stopping overnight at this beautiful B&B in Kelowna. It was one of my favourite places we stayed at, it was homely, the room was stunning and Lynda, the lovely lady who ran it made us this gorgeous two-course breakfast in the morning.

After we devoured our blueberry pancakes, sausages and raspberry yogurts, we continued our travels to Banff.

Six hours later, we made it!
Banff was out of this world, it was honestly so beautiful. We were surrounded by lakes, wildlife and endless rows of mountains. All of it was utterly breathtaking.

Lake Louise had to be my favourite part of the whole trip. The lake's colour was a turquoise blue, something that you would see in films! We did a hike up to the top of the mountain to eat scones and drink tea, and we got to check out the awesome views.

Anyway, hope you have been enjoying my vlogs and my photographs of the land of Canada. If you've got any questions, feel free to ask away below.
