The most Instagrammable Places to Eat in London

If there's one thing that's always on my mind, it's most likely food. Food is my one true love in life, I'm constantly thinking about what dish I'm going to devour next and I'm always on the look out for new places to try.

Most of the restaurants I go to are because I've been drooling over them on Instagram and want to nail that perfect Insta shot too. So without further a do, here are my favourite Instagrammable places to eat in London.

Sketch. Everything about this place is super cool and Instagrammable, from the space-egged toilets to the most gorgeous pink and copper interiors. Just look at those pretty pink velvet cushioned seats, I'd like to sit in one of those all day, every day please. The afternoon tea is also presented so beautifully and is so incredibly delicious, honestly the best afternoon tea I've ever had in my life!

The Ivy Chelsea Garden.  #FoodInstagramGoals - That chocolate bombe dessert was amazeballs. 

Also, they have the most beautiful colourful flower display outside the restaurant at the moment, it's stunning and I can see why everyone wants to get that perfect outfit shot outside here.

Farm Girl Cafe. The blogger hotspot. This may be a little controversial to some, but I have mixed feelings about this popular brunch spot. Yes everything looks so beautiful and is mega Instagrammable, who doesn't want a cute snap of their rose latte or a french bulldog stencilled on a matcha latte?! However, I feel that the food quality is massively hyped up. I'm glad we stopped by though.

Peggy Porschen. This has to be the most Instagrammed cake shop in London and it's no surprise why! It has the most gorgeous floral decor along the doorway and everything is pink - a girls dream backdrop! The cakes are also divine, do try the banoffee cupcake!

Bob Bob Ricard. How beautiful are the interiors here?! I feel like I'm in a Great Gatsby movie sipping pink champagne and eating luxurious dishes. #Allthegoals.
They also have a 'press for champagne' button which is the coolest feature ever, I got a bit carried away and pressed it about twenty times, whoops.

Where to eat in Copenhagen: Cheap Eats | Part 2

If you saw my last post, I talked about all the great little coffee stops to check out if you’re planning on visiting Copenhagen. This time round, I'll be discussing my recommendations for cheap eats in Copenhagen.

If you haven’t heard, Copenhagen is pretty expensive in general, especially going out to eat, but the bakeries and lovely cafes we went to were not only delicious, but didn't break the bank too.

The Donut Shop – “The best doughnut shop in Denmark.”
If you’re feeling a bit peckish, you have to check out the famous ‘Donut Shop’. The vibe is really cosy as you can relax on the sofas, eat your doughnuts and play board games or you can simply sit back and enjoy the tunes. They had the Weeknd playing in the background when we popped by, big fan.

The selection of teas here is great; they have a range of Clipper, one of my favourite tea brands. I went for a calming camomile and Joe had a berry one. To complement our teas, we had some incredible doughnuts, I had the ‘dime doughnut’ and Joe had the ‘chocolate crunch’ one. Both amazing! They cost 18kr for one, which is around £1.50, so not too shabby.

They often sell out pretty quickly, so I’d recommend going as early as you can.

Sankt Peders Bageri. If you like a sweet treat in the morning or an afternoon snack, you have to visit Sankt Peders Bageri for some lovely Danish pastries, it’s where all the locals are, so it must be pretty darn good.
I was on the hunt for the best cinnamon roll, and this place definitely hit the spot.

The American Pie Co.

Not your traditional Danish restaurant, but if you’re in the market for a slice of pie, sweet or savoury, then check out this place. They have a selection of pies from lemon meringue, apple pie to chicken and thyme and cottage pie. We both went for chicken and thyme and it was lovely. And, I treated myself to a coke (which is very rare for me), which came in a glass bottle and made me feel a little nostalgic inside.

I also love the cool interiors, it has that ‘diner style’ look and feel. And, is of course Insta friendly.

Flottenheimer is a cosy little lunch spot to go to if the weather isn’t particularly great. We came here on our first day when it was raining and really enjoyed ourselves. We both went for the sandwich option, which came with chips. I had avocado and halloumi on rye bread and Joe had steak. So so good!

Also, I loved the hygge vibe with the white candles, cushions, wooden tables and low-key lighting. Was very warm and relaxing.

Unmercato is listed as one of the best ‘cheap eats’ in Copenhagen, so we had to check it out whilst we were in the area. It’s located just outside of the food market, Torvehallerne.

For a sandwich, rosemary fries and a drink it only cost 115kr, which is around £10 (This may seem quite expensive for some, but trust me it’s really good value for Copenhagen). Oh also, the homemade mayonnaise is to die for!!

It does get very busy, but people are usually in and out fairly quickly. If there’s a queue, you can always take-away and sit outside and people watch!

Where to eat in Copenhagen: Best Coffee Shops | Part 1

Being the foodies that myself and Joe are, we did our research and took full advantage of visiting some of the best restaurants, bakeries and coffee shops in Copenhagen and I wanted to share them all with you.

In part one, I'll discuss all the great little coffee shops we went to! So if you like your coffee keep on reading.

Coffee Stops

Democratic Coffee Bar, what aren't you in my life every day?! This place has a really cool vibe and is where a lot of students hang out. They sell the most delicious and wonderful almond croissants with almond butter inside. Seriously seriously amazing... I’m still dreaming of that wonderful croissant. The coffees are great too, we had two lattes and they were lovely and creamy.

I would happily go back here again and again, and if I were student in Copenhagen, this is definitely where you’d find me!

The Collective Coffee. Whist wandering around Copenhagen, we stumbled across this vibrant little food market called Torvehallerne. Inside they had quirky food stalls and coffee shops. It smelt amazing in there!

Anyway, we came across The Collective Coffee, a trendy little coffee corner that caught my eye. They filtered their coffee in a really unusual way, using these weird metal and glass filter tubes. And being a sucker for beautifully designed packaging, I wanted my cappuccino in one of those cool geometric plastic cups, saddo I know. But honestly, this was one of the best cappuccino’s I’ve ever had and it’s a great spot for people watching!

Grannys House. Another great little place inside Torvehallerne is Granny’s House, who sell an assortment of pastries, tea’s and coffee’s.

The atmosphere has a real cosy, welcoming feel. The tables have been decorated in knitted and crochet covers, with decorative flowers on. And the chairs are painted in bright colours. Very instagrammable.

We stopped by to have a refreshing tea and it came in a tall glass with an unusual paper tea bag. The milk came in a gorgeous china pot too. T’was really lovely, I highly recommend stopping by and checking it out.

Original Coffee is a little out the way, but if you’re visiting Olufsvej to see the beautiful colourful houses then I recommend stopping by here.
It’s a really cool modern coffee shop with all décor black and white. It’s fairly small inside, but it’s a great spot to charge your phone or do a bit of work whist you enjoy sipping one of their amazing coffees! I have to say, I’m a huge fan of their chai latte’s, so creamy and delicious.

WHERE TO EAT IN LONDON #3: HOTEL CHOCOLAT & BURGER AND LOBSTER

Hello, bonjour, hola. Today I'm coming at ya with a London foodie inspired post where I ramble a little bit about my favourite places to go to in L-town. 

Let's dive straight in and talk about Burger & Lobster.

We went to the Holborn branch for my husband's 30th birthday and had a cracking time. We both went big and indulged in the burger and lobster combo. It was fairy pricey at £32, but it was sooo good and oh so worth it! They do have lighter options too, where you can choose between a lobster or burger dish if you're not mega hungry. 

Also, I can't believe I had gone twenty seven years of my life without trying lobster. I've been missing out!
I had mine grilled and it was cooked to perfection, and it came with the most incredible sauce. Mhmmm.

So yes, if you're in central L-town, I would highly recommend popping in. If you have a large group then I would recommend booking in advance. You can click here to see all locations.

If you live in London or are planning to visit for the day, you must check out Hotel Chocolat's cafe on Monmouth Street. They do the best hot chocolates - you can choose from chilli, milk, dark and white! Just look at that mouthwatering whipped cream in the snap above... Seriously what dreams are made of...

I opted for the milk option and I can honestly say that was one of the BEST hot chocolate's I've ever had in my life. Joe went for chilli and he said it was amazing too.

Just a little heads up, there aren't many tables inside. There are only four small round tables, but most people take there's away or people tend to stay for ten minutes and leave. So if you hang about for a few extra minutes, you will definitely get a spot.

Anniversary Brunch at Thomas's

I can't quite get my head around the fact that Joe and I have been together for six years... It has flown by!

It hasn't always been rainbows and butterflies (as some of you may think), but we have a rare connection or so astrology (Scorpio and Pisces) tells me. He's my best friend and the only person that truly knows me... and he's soon to be my husband (very weird writing that).

For our sixth year anniversary, we kept it quite low-key as we have our wedding coming up pretty soon-ish. I treated Joe to brunch at Thomas Burberry's restaurant in London, Thomas's. It was incredible - the service, the food, the drinks... everything was perfect.

We had the whole floor to ourselves which was quite rare and lovely, it felt like we had our very own personal waiter. Every member of staff was super cheery and lovely. We even got treated to a glass of champagne on the house! 

The food was beautiful. I had a full english breakfast because why the hell not? You could really taste the quality of the food, and the toast was on another level - that was some seriously sexy bread I tell you. I also had a cup of tea, I can't remember the flavour, but it sounded fancy. 

Joe had some sort of fish pie with a side salad and pretty flowers that were edible. I had a cheeky bite and it was lovely too.

For dessert we shared the Millionaire's shortbread (my favourite) - wow this was heavenly. Every thing was perfection from the biscuit base to the dark chocolate coating. I need to go back and order about 10 of these!

After our lovely meal, we walked around Regent St. for a little bit and then headed home as we had work the next day, and didn't want to be out too late (oldies, I know).
