Looking back on 2014 | Top 5 Moments of the year

2014 was possibly one of the quickest year's for me, it literally flew by. And, I'd like to sit here and say not much changed, but it did and only for the better. Of course, there was always going to be ups and downs but the up's definitely outweighed the downs. And, I'd just like to add that I have a clearer-calmer mind-set and I'm happier than I've ever been in my entire life.

So today I've put together my top 5 moments of the year.

1. Moving in with Joey. Back in February (the very beginning), me and Joe got our keys to our very own place. I still remember it so vividly. We saw my favourite singer, Dallas Green the night before and the following morning we got the keys to our lovely home and sat on the floor with no furniture, eating our three pound meal deals from Tesco Express. This was one of the happiest days of my life. I was finally making a change! I was in a very unhappy place (which I won't go into detail about) and I finally did something about it, and I have loved every single second! Honestly, it's like living with my best friend, it's so easy and it's always so relaxed - he's the perfect house buddy.
Also, it was completely unfurnished when we moved in and to see it all come together and have most of it completed is so fulfilling! It's all so very perfect and homely!

2. My second favourite memory of the year was going to Canada in August. Luckily, Joe's work allowed me to come on his work trip. And, I've always wanted to adventure around Canada but it's an absolute fortune, so when I found out I could go, I was over the moon! I vlogged my travels on my Youtube Channel where me and Joe did a road trip from Vancouver to Banff. It was incredible and I would love to go back and do the other side some day.

3. Up third was starting my vlog channel (and this blog). This really was a personal highlight for me as I had been wanting to do it for about a year but kept umming and arring about it. I honestly LOVE it - I really enjoy making them, editing them and uploading them for my friends and family to watch! The support I've received so far has been so lovely and I look forward to producing more videos in 2015.

4. Another top moment in 2014 was mine and Joe's fourth anniversary at the end of September. We had a really lovely day in London, where we went to the Mad Hatters Afternoon Tea party at the Sanderson Hotel, went to see Charlie and the Chocolate factory and had Bryon Burgers (holey moley, *licks lips*!) I vlogged about it here. And, blogged about it here.

5. And my final top memory of 2014 was Joe's birthday in February. I took him to Duck & Waffle which was INCREDIBLE! The view was insane, the food was outstanding and the cocktails were divine. I would really love to go again!

Ok, so that's my top five favourite moments of 2014. And, I'm very excited for 2015 already! If you didn't know already (unless I see you regularly) than you will know that I'm going to San Fran in March and I'm soooo excited, alongside this, I'm going to be a bridesmaid for the first time for one of my best friend's (Nicol) wedding. So I just know that 2015 is gonna be a goodun'!

What I got for Christmas!

Happy new year everyone! I thought I'd share what I got for Christmas on the blog. A girl on Instagram suggested that I make a 'What I got for Christmas' video, but I've been too ill to film one. So a blog post will have to do for now...

This post isn't to brag or anything like that, I'm super nosey and like seeing what other people got for Christmas, so thought I would do the same! Also, these presents are just from my mother and Joe. Everybody else gave me money or giftcards, which was also super lovely.

My main present was the Sigma 30mm lens, hallelujah! I can't tell you how long I've actually wanted this lens! I wanted this for my Youtube Video's and for doing portraits or professional shoots. So super happy to have this in my life!
I then was fortunate enough to get the NARS, Virtual Domination Cheek Palette - it's so beautiful - I am yet to do a review on this stunning palette!
I also got two super cosy scarfs and a marble-effect laptop case. And, let's not forget the This Works, Dream Team gift set to help me get a good night's sleep.

Oh and, I got some teeny gingerbread men, and a ridiculous amount of chocolate that's going to last me months...

December Monthly Favourites, 2014

It's that time of the month where I talk through beauty products and other things I've been loving through-out the month.  Hope you guys enjoy this video and I shall be back later on in the week with my 'Best of Beauty, 2014' video. So check back on Saturday for that.

Anyway, hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas and got everything they wanted! Can't believe 2014 is almost over... Possibly the quickest year to date.

And I just thought I'd share my new year's resolutions with you all.
One of my new year's resolution's is to get more of a stable income. Considering I am now 25 (scary), and I honestly feel like I'm wasting away my creative potential. So, I need to be solidly focused on trying to make this happen! Because, being creative for a living is my dream!
It would also be nice to be finically better so I can spend more time doing my illustrations, writing on this blog and editing videos for my Youtube channel, as well as buying a few cheeky bits here and there, instead of whacking it on my credit card and feeling mega guilty afterwards...

Another new year's resolution is to make a decision with Joe, in terms of what we want next. There has been talk for a good while now of actually 'owning a property', but we haven't made a final decision of where in the country that shall be. So, depending on what happens with jobs and Joe's hip surgery, this will be something to focus on later on in the year.

Any who, this is my last official blog post of 2014. Have a great one and see you in the New Year!

Shoes in Spotlight | New Look Party Heels

Let me start off by saying, I'm not really a heel kind of girl. But for special occasions I like to wear a pretty dress and some nice heels.

Normally, I'm a BIG fan of Kurt Geiger, and the few pairs I have, have lasted me pretty well. In fact, I bought a pair when I started university, which was almost 7 years ago now, pretty cray. But they are still in excellent condition!

Anyway, I decided to go for a cheaper alternative as I felt like it was about time I bought some new ones. And, I don't actually own a pair of nude heels so when I saw these in New Look, it was love at first sight!

They are a gorgeous pair of suede peeptoe strappy heels. The heel is a block shape which gives you that extra support when walking, basically, you don't feel like you're going to wobble everywhere. And the detail is absolutely stunning - embellished with a variety of beads to add that bit of glamour and sparkle to your outfit!

I wore these to my work Christmas party and to Joe's work's do. And they are so comfortable! Also, I thought it would be worth mentioning that I sized up. I'm normally a five (38) slash five and a half (38.5) and I went for the 6 (39) in the end.

Unfortunately I could no longer find them online, however I found the cream version, and they are now in the sale!

Borough Market, MAC shopping & Wedding Inspiration with Nicol VLOG

Last weekend I met up with my best friend from uni, Nicol. We used to live together in South London about 4-5 years ago, (insane to think it was actually that long ago!) and she now lives in Germany designing and making shoes for Stella McCartney/Adidas! And, I'm so proud of her! She's done so well.

Anyway, we wondered around Borough Market, spent far too much money in MAC and took down note/ideas for Nicol's upcoming wedding.
Hope you enjoy this little vlog and hope everyone has had a lovely weekend. And, I shall be back with some upcoming beauty/fashion videos very soon!

Winter Wonderland VLOG, December 2014

Not last weekend just gone, but the weekend before, me and Joe headed out to go see Winter Wonderland at Hyde Park. We go every single year, so I suppose it's sort of a tradition for us!
We enjoyed lots of Christmasy foods and lots of Christmasy drinks. It was all super lovely.

Any who, hope you guys enjoyed this little vlog and hope everyone is having a wonderful Christmas!
